Nagoya also features an air gateway, the Chubu Centrair International Airport, and a sea gateway, the port of Nagoya. The larger Shoryudo area which encompasses Gifu and Hokuriku draws many tourists. Nagoya is prominent in manufacturing. There are many huge car-related companies including Toyota Motor Corporation. Nagoya also is home to a growing aviation and space industry. The first Japanese regional jet aircraft was manufactured here.
Nagoya has established itself as a global leader in advanced industry.
